CyberKnife
CyberKnife cost
There is no fixed public tariff for stereotactic therapy. Cost factors include target number, fractions, planning, imaging, hospital services, and how to request a case estimate.

A doctor needs to review your imaging and treatment history before a case-specific estimate can be prepared.
This information is not a diagnosis or a medical recommendation. Decisions remain with your medical team.
Why there is no fixed price
This policy applies across the site: a number is shown only when its source, date, currency, and scope can be stated. No CyberKnife record currently meets that standard.
TanyaKanker does not show fixed prices. An estimate can only be built after the team reviews target location, imaging, radiotherapy history, and fractionation plan, then receives a written provider quote.
What changes an estimate
These eight factors are commonly discussed when an estimate changes. Their order does not indicate cost magnitude, and no figures are shown because there is no verified basis for publishing them.
Factor 1
Tumor location and planning difficulty
Factor 2
Number of targets treated
Factor 3
Number of fractions planned
Factor 4
Planning complexity and imaging needs
Factor 5
Additional imaging or fiducial placement if needed
Factor 6
Hospital services, length of stay, and follow-up
Factor 7
Other treatments combined with it
Factor 8
Provider policy and location
Five answer types you may receive
This page always identifies the answer type you receive so an estimate is never mistaken for a formal quote.
Answer types
- Public range
- A range published by an open source, not specific to your case.
- TanyaKanker estimate
- An estimate we assemble from verified data, with source and date.
- Historical range
- A figure recorded earlier and not reconfirmed since.
- Provider quote required
- There is no numeric basis yet. A quote has to come from the facility.
- Patient-specific quote
- A written quote for a specific patient, after the file is reviewed.
Verification status of a number
These four labels are used across the site. This page is currently in the highlighted state.
There is no verified CyberKnife figure yet, so the appropriate request is a written provider quote after the records have been reviewed.
What is needed before an estimate
These records allow a provider to prepare a written quote rather than a generic range. If some are unavailable, send what you already have first.
Most recent CT / MRI / PET-CT
Include DICOM when available; this is often the most important file.
Radiology report
The official reading for the imaging above.
Pathology result
Tumor type and grade when a biopsy has been done.
Prior treatment summary
Surgery, radiotherapy, and systemic therapy with dates.
Prior radiotherapy history
Site, date, dose, fraction count, and plan if accessible.
Molecular / NGS result
When relevant for later options.
Functional status
If known and recorded by the treating team.
When it may not be suitable
Cost is meaningful only when the treatment is relevant. This section does not assess an individual case or rule anyone out; it explains why a plan may be judged unsuitable.
- Disease has spread widely so local therapy is no longer the main focus.
- Tumor size or location means focused dose cannot be delivered safely.
- Prior radiotherapy to the same area means cumulative dose limits must be calculated.
- The treatment goal is better answered by another approach, including systemic therapy or surgery.
- The patient's overall clinical condition makes focused therapy a lower priority.
Open frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Short answers to frequently asked questions about cost. The fuller explanation appears in the sections above.
Why does TanyaKanker not show CyberKnife prices?
Because there is no verified public tariff for an individual case, and cost depends heavily on the plan after record review.
What makes estimates differ between patients?
Number of targets, fraction count, extra imaging, planning complexity, and accompanying hospital services.
Is there a public price range I can use as a benchmark?
Public ranges usually come from different countries and facilities, so they cannot be used as a case benchmark. TanyaKanker only shows numbers when the source and context are clear.
When will I receive a relevant number?
After the team receives imaging, pathology, and treatment history, and the provider gives a written answer. Before that, any number is not decision-ready.

Source separation
This page separates three things that are often mixed together: provider facts, facts from guidelines or scientific publications, and TanyaKanker explanations. On a cost page, that distinction matters because only the provider can issue a written quote.

An estimate can be prepared only after the plan and imaging are reviewed. Upload your records so the cost components and questions to ask can be prepared.
