Progression and resistance

EGFR resistance after targeted therapy: what information should be reviewed?

Resistance does not always have one mechanism. Disease changes, tissue or blood results, and prior treatments can change the next question.

This may be relevant if

  • EGFR lung cancer has grown again after targeted therapy.
  • The latest testing has not explained the cause of progression.
  • You need to prepare a second opinion or look for a clinical trial.

What information matters?

Start with what you have. Missing information can be marked and completed later.

  • The latest scan and sites of progression
  • Tissue, liquid biopsy, or NGS results if available
  • Treatment history and response duration
  • Questions about the next testing or access step

A practical next step

  1. 1Record what changed since the previous scan.
  2. 2Add available molecular results and records to the Passport.
  3. 3Ask whether repeat testing may help look for mechanisms such as MET amplification.
  4. 4Ask a navigator to help organise treatment, trial, or second-opinion questions.

Not a diagnosis and not final medical advice. Must be reviewed by a doctor.

Review an EGFR resistance case

Create a summary showing prior treatment, disease changes, and results that are still unclear.

After submission, a human navigator reviews your request and contacts you through your chosen channel. The WhatsApp message already includes this page context, so you do not need to explain from the beginning.

Clinical data is not requested in the form and is not sent to analytics. Do not send medical reports through WhatsApp or email; use the secure upload page. We do not promise eligibility or any treatment outcome.

Use a case summary, not a copied medical history

The Cancer Passport keeps the information you choose to save in one place so a later review can start from the same context.
