Standard treatment
Supportive and palliative care
Management of symptoms, pain and daily needs alongside cancer treatment.

Not a diagnosis and not final medical advice. Must be reviewed by a doctor.
What is it?
Palliative care focuses on quality of life: reducing pain, managing sleep disorders, nausea, shortness of breath, and helping decision making.
This treatment does not replace cancer treatment and can run alongside it from the start.
Involvement of a palliative team does not mean cancer treatment is stopped.
The multidisciplinary team manages symptoms through medication, therapy, nutritional support, and psychological and social assistance.
